ON THE LAND

One of the best parts of our retreat venue is the 170 acres of beautiful nature to enjoy. We welcome you to explore our private nature trails, take a refreshing swim in our spring fed dam or rainforest creek, and pick the fresh fruit growing on our various trees around the property. We also offer an optional guided walk, lead by one of our onsite caretakers, booked in on a day & time of your choosing.
Whether you are taking a peaceful walk around the farm, guiding a meditation amongst the trees, or gazing at the starry night sky; every moment at Wybalena is an opportunity to nourish your body, mind and spirit.

OUR FARM

There’s an abundance of natural beauty to explore across the property, from the rolling lawns that surround the venue, to the incredible sunsets across the expansive sky. Spend your days wandering the land, greeting our friendly cows and chickens, or simply soaking in the peaceful rhythm of the land. As night falls, the star-filled sky offers a truly magical experience for stargazing and full moon ceremonies. While these photos offer a glimpse into the landscape, they don't quite capture just how incredible it is to stay on the land.

SPRING-FED DAM

Our beautiful spring-fed dam is only a short walk away from the main venue buildings, yet nestled behind dense trees for a feeling of complete immersion in nature. It is a peaceful and beautiful spot with expansive sky views ideal to gather under for sunrise or sunset.

The dam features a large pontoon that can easily hold 22 guests together, and a ladder to access the water for a fresh swim. You can walk the perimeter of the dam, and even surround it to create a powerful meditation circle together.

RAINFOREST CREEK

The lush creek is located at the front of the property, only a short walk from the venue and easily accessed from our sealed driveway, or you can explore the silent rainforest walk which meanders throughout the trees and crosses the creek.

This is a beautiful shady spot to gather on a hot day, splash your feet in the cool water, and even enjoy a swim when the water level is high enough.  One of this land’s magical hidden gems is the glow worms that call our creek home.

NATURE TRAILS

We welcome you to enjoy exploring our private nature trails, which are easy to navigate after viewing our large map showing distances, times, and difficulty ratings. They are easy to navigate with signposted coloured arrows, and clear paths to follow along. Walks range from easy 10 minute to 45 minutes return, or you can loop them together. We also offer a complimentary optional guided walk, led by one of our onsite caretakers, booked in at a day & time of your choosing.

THE LAND
We deeply honour and respect the people of the Bundjalung nation on whose land we live, work and share.

'Wybalena' is the original name of the farm and a beautiful Aboriginal word meaning 'resting place; refuge', which was so fitting for a retreat space, we decided to keep it.
